Guidelines for Presenters

Submission of Papers

Papers are welcome within the scope of the Conference. Authors should submit one page abstract to the conference secretariat, before 15th May 2010. Each registration is entitled to only one oral or poster presentation. Abstracts will be reviewed before acceptance. All papers should be written in English. Only papers presented in person by the author(s) will be accepted. Authors must be able to meet their own expenses and fee.

Oral Presentation

A list of the Moderators for Oral Sessions will be made available for download when it becomes available.

Oral presentations are limited to 15 minutes (10-min. talk and 5-min. discussion) and one person as presenting author. Speakers are to pay particular attention to the quality of their visual aids, rehearse their presentation thoroughly and stay within their allotted time.

All of the APS session rooms will be equipped with a data projector, screen, laptop computer, lavaliere, table, and aisle microphones. Presenters do not have to bring their own computer. There will be a laptop computer that will be available in the session room which will have Windows XP Professional installed. There will also be several software programs available on the computer including: Microsoft Office XP, Adobe Acrobat Reader, QuickTime, and Windows Media Player.

There is no Internet access in any of the session rooms; subjected to connection availability. There is no Speaker Practice room for presenters.

All Presenters must make payment for the conference the latest by August 15, 2010 to entitled the early bird registration & payment. Receipt of full payment by August 15, will confirm your attendance. Please make payment via online (VISA/MasterCard), Bank Draft or Telegraphic Transfer (TT). For local presenters, you may fax us your undertaking letter from your organization if you are not able to make payment before the deadline. Presenters who have not made payment for the conference by this date will be removed from the conference program. In the event that the presenter is unable to attend the conference, a substitute presenter is welcome.
